Hamilton Academical 0 Ross County 0 New Ross County manager Scott Leitch promised everyone will start with a clean slate at the beginning of next season. The scoreless draw at New Douglas Park meant Hamilton finished in third place and County three points behind them in fourth. He said: "I watched them in two practice games in midweek and it means I have now seen them four times and many of them have impressed me. "I thought the lads were really positive, passed the ball well and showed a lot of determination. I am delighted with them and if they are willing to work hard and develop we will get on." And Hamilton manager Billy Reid was also pleased at the end of a long season in which his side has been badly hampered by injuries. Reid said: "It has been a great team effort to finish third when I consider all the injuries we have had to contend with." County had the better of the first half and thought they had taken the lead after 20 minutes when Neil Hooks ran on to a through ball to score, but it was ruled out for offside. And then home goalkeeper Ray Jellema had to pull off a good save from Sean Higgins to again deny County. But Accies manager Reid changed things around at the interval and his side came much more into the game and County goalkeeper Joe Malin had to be alert to deny a Derek Fleming free kick. And substitute Scott Tunbridge twice met Mark Gilhaney crosses, but fired wide. However, it was County who almost claimed the three points when substitute Craig Gunn had a shot which came back off a post.
