Ross County 4 East Kilbride 0 Stuart Kettlewell insists Ross County must resist the temptation to get carried away after maintaining their 100% start to the League One season with an emphatic win over East Kilbride. The Staggies cruised to a four-goal victory over Mick Kennedy’s side, who have impressed since their promotion from League Two last term. After Brian Graham broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time, goals from Luke McCarvel, Jamie Lindsay and a second from Graham rounded off an enjoyable Saturday evening for Kettlewell’s side. Kettlewell was thrilled with the ruthlessness displayed by his side, which keeps them a point behind leaders Hamilton Accies with a game in hand. The County boss said: “We know how East Kilbride want to play, and dominate the ball. “I felt there were spells before we scored the first goal that we could have capitalised on. “We tried to adjust a few bits in the second half to make sure we were turning the ball over more, and we were very clinical when we did that. “It’s a good day for us, because I think they are a very good side. “Games are different. I think back to the Montrose game, where if we turned the ball over there were banks of players in front of us to try and break down. “We knew when we turned the ball over today, those counter spaces were there for us to try and exploit. “Since the start of the season the players have been first class in everything we have asked them to do. “Let’s not get carried away, is always my message. It’s a really good day for us, it has us in a healthy position in the cup competitions, and in the league, but we have to go and do our job again and find that level of consistency. “We are not wanting to go about broadcasting who we were and what we do, but if we get that right in house I’ve got a great belief in this group of players that they can do well.”
