| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. King's Own Scottish Borderers 1 Ross County 1 Last Thursday night, without the assistance of Ramage, Ross County played a drawn game in the first round of the Inverness Charity Cup, at Inverness, the K.O.S.B.'s, Fort George, being their opponents. Both County extreme wingers did not instill confidence and were unfortunate with their crosses. Cowie was always clever, while J. A. Mackenzie, a schoolboy, played his way into the eleven at centre forward. He had the County’s goal, and it was a very fine effort, scoring with three men on top of him. Urquhart took Ramage’s position at centre half, and gave a glorious display. He was an excellent third back, while his support of the forwards was clever and forcing. Stewart made an admirable partner to Anderson, while Scott, in goal, was rarely troubled. |
