| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Peterhead 4 Ross County 1 Probably the worst thing Ross County did on Saturday at Peterhead was to take the lead just before half-time! From then on their fortune waned, and in a magic spell of 13 minutes in the second period, Peterhead went 4-1 up and were on easy street. Mind you, Ross County had their chances in the first half to consolidate their position, and even in the second period, there were opportunities to save the day. Even so, they could not turn any advantages they had into goals. Gordon Connelly scored their first-half counter, and Peterhead’s four came from Walker, Fraser, Thomson, and Smith in that 13-minute spell in the second half. Again, County seem to be lacking in centre-defence, with the rot setting in when they conceded a penalty early in the period. |
