Keith 0 Ross County 2
County retained their league top spot (sharing with Forres) after a workmanlike performance at Keith on Saturday.
While both manager and players their performance left a lot to be desired, it must be remembered there are no 'easy away touches' around these days and, particularly, Kynoch Park, Keith, is never a happy hunting ground for any side.
This makes County's winning performance all the more creditable and, as to win honours one must win the away games, this could augur well this term for the Victoria Park lads.
Keith were highly impressed by a performance which County themselves called mediocre. Be that as it may, second half goals from Gordon CONNELLY (another penalty) and a third in two games for Brian GRANT, were enough to take the three points back to Dingwall.
