| Match Report | Match Report Report from the Green Final. Ross County 2 Peterhead 2 County were presented with the League Championship Trophy just before kick off, as they had secured their second successive title last week against Keith. Peterhead arrived to spoil the party, in fact the Dingwall side haven't managed to beat the Blue Tooners in the last five seasons. Brebner raced through on goal, only for keeper Hutchison to pull off a fine save with his legs. The keeper then held on to an Emslie shot. In the 12th minute, DUFF shot the home side into the lead with a low grounder from 20 yards. Bellshaw, with a rash back header, forced a superb diving save from Hutchison. A clash of bodies between Hutchison and Brebner saw the County keeper having to receive attention from the trainer. Three minutes from the break, DUFF netted his and County's second goal, after Tait palmed a Bellshaw flick into the palm of the grateful striker. Just after the restart, Robertson rocked the Peterhead bar with a 25 yard long range effort. In the 47th minute, BAIN pulled a goal back for Peterhead when he headed home a Brebner cross. MADDEN fought back for Peterhead with a goal in 80 minutes. |
