Ross County 4 Forres Mechanics 1
Ross County kept up their bid to retain the Highland League championship--but it took two goals in two minutes midway through the second half to see them on easy street.
Battling Forres never allowed the champions to settle and their swift tackling upset County's rhythm.
Indeed, when the Mosset Park side scored to make it 2-1 four minutes after the turn, County looked in trouble.
But a second goal from Alan Duff, his 34th of the season, put them back in the driving seat.
WILSON put County ahead in 16 minutes when Grant let him through and a minute before the interval DUFF got his first when he latched on to a bad Cameron pass back--which was fumbled by the surprised keeper and dropped at the striker's feet.
Forres scored in 49 minutes when Barry GRAY crashed the ball home and a minute later they almost snatched an equaliser when a weak Sandy McLeod pass back let Minty through.
But DUFF stepped in again to restore County's two-goal lead and Forres, who had Gordon booked, went further behind two minutes later when CONNELLY made it 4-1.
Only a succession of fine saves by Forres keeper Pirie kept the score down after this. Forres had Dunbar booked.
