Inspirational figure Johnston Bellshaw could be missing from Ross County's line-up against Lossiemouth in this weekend's McEwan's Lager North Cup final at Kingsmills.
The County centre half suffered a head injury during Saturday's 4-0 TSB Highland League win over Deveronvale at Victoria Park and had to go to hospital for stitches.
Although not thought to be serious, manager Bobby Wilson said Bellshaw's injury could keep him out of tomorrow night's league match against Clach at Grant Street which would cast doubt over his final place.
"We had to take Johnston off after the injury occurred and I know he went to hospital to have it looked at on Saturday night, but I haven't heard the outcome of that yet," said the County boss.
"It is very much a trend in the modern game to take no chances at all with a player where head injuries are concerned and we will comply with whatever medical advice he was given at the hospital. If that means he can't play against Clach, then that's the way it has to be and the same applies to the North Cup final on Saturday."
Goals from Chris SOMERVILLE, two from Brian GRANT (taking his season's tally to 39) and former Don Andy McLEOD's first goal for County saw the defending champions cruise to a comfortable victory.
