Ross County 5 Nairn County 0 County got back on the winning way after a three-game stutter against lowly Nairn County at Dingwall on Saturday. But while the final nap hand looks impressive it took the Ross side all of 54 minutes to open their account. However, that opened the flood gates and a further three goals at two minutes intervals had County in easy street. Nairn had struggled from the kick-off and were on the receiving end for long periods with goalkeeper Neilson a hero time and again. While County's failure to find the net had their fans getting more and more restless it was really only a matter of time before they found the net to take command. Without Williamson, Ferries and, of course, Scott Lemmon--who incidentally has now returned to work as a policeman at Fort William--County are plainly missing all three and while Sandy Macleod and Albert Allan have slotted into the defence there is still that degree of uncertainty about the rear division. Both young subs Stewart and Craig 'graduated' from the second team to the bench, both came on (for Robertson and Wilson) to show a lot of promise and it's encouraging for the youngsters to see their potential being recognised by being involved in the 'big' team. Gordon CONNELLY, who is still somewhat jaded, got the Ross opener in 54 minutes and the second a couple of minutes later came from Alan DUFF with big BELLSHAW rising to head a third from a perfectly placed Wilson corner in 58 minutes. Another two minutes and top scorer Brian GRANT got in on the act with Jamie MACPHERSON scoring a fine solo goal in the 79th minute to complete County's nap hand.
