| Match Report | Match Report Report from the Press & Journal. Ross County 2 Forres Mechanics 0 Ross boss Bobby Wilson renewed his call for the Qualifying Cup to be seeded after watching his side win what he termed "one of far too many meaningless end-of-season games." A 41st-minute goal from Gordon CONNELLY and a late strike from skipper Cammy ROBERTSON gave the Dingwall men only their second home win since the turn of the year in a performance manager Wilson deemed "just about satisfactory." He said: "It's time the league looked seriously at seeding the top four finishers in the league championship in the Qualifying Cup draw to put an end to boring and meaningless end-of-season fixture. "Playing for a cup seeding would give the players an incentive and keep the fans coming through the turnstiles right through to the bitter end and avoid situations like Saturday where we had a crowd of only 400." Can-Cans boss George Cowie said: "I'm delighted with the way my players are responding to what I'm trying to do at Mosset Park. We made a couple of mistakes but I thought we were the better side for long stretches of the game." |
