Third Division Ross County showed how much progress they have made since they have stepped up to the senior grade in a comfortable 4-1 cruise into the semi-final of the Highland Office Equipment Cup at Mosset Park last night. Looking fitter, sharper and better organised than one of the sides they have left behind in the Highland League the Dingwall took a 2-0 lead inside 20 minutes through an Alan Duff double. Connelly made it 3-0 before the break and Somerville completed the County tally in 69 minutes. Early in the second half when he saw Muir saved a penalty by Duff. Forres snatched a deserved consolation 10 minutes from time through Davidson. |
