| Match Report | Report from the North Star. Ross County 3 Forres Mechanics 2 With only four of their regular team, the Mechanics played their last game of the season at Victoria Park, Dingwall, where an interesting game ended in their defeat. The visitors had the better of the game in the opening exchanges. Ross County, however, had a break-away, and J. A. Mackenzie opened the scoring. Three minutes later the same player went through to net again with a fine effort. Having taken up the attack, Forres were successful in reducing the lead through T. Mackenzie. In the second half, Ross County took a greater command of the game, but it was Forres that scored when Mackenzie secured the equaliser. Listless play dragged on until the schoolboy connected with a free kick from Macrae and pushed both the keeper and ball into the net, thus completing his hat-trick. |
