| Match Report | Report from the Ross-shire Journal. Keith 2 Ross County 3 The spectators who braved the snell wind were hardly compensated for their hardihood by the fare that was served up at Kynoch Park when Keith and Ross County met under Highland League auspices. Although Keith had the gale behind them in the first half and was seldom far from the County goal, so feckless were the home forwards that the Ross custodian was rarely troubled. Ross County were not long in opening their account after the change-over, Gillies getting the ball over the line in a scrimmage. This reverse put Keith on their mettle and they were soon round the County goal. Keith were the superior side in this half and it was against the run of play when Gowl added a second for the visitors. Keith, however, were not long in arrears, Priestley reducing the leeway and Scott getting the equaliser. Then Gowl broke away to score what proved the winning goal for Ross County. |
