Centre-back Findlay was dismissed after bringing down Ross Stewart. County's Tom Grivosti cancelled out Eamonn Brophy's opener, but Nicke Kabamba and Chris Burke gave Killie their first win in four league games. "I thought the sending off was harsh," Dyer told BBC Scotland. "I've seen it back and he [Findlay] definitely gets the ball twice. I will appeal it and see where it takes us." The win ended a run of three Premiership defeats for Kilmarnock. County have not won in seven league games and although they are five points clear of bottom-place Hamilton, they have played two matches more. It was an incredible start at Rugby Park. Kilmarnock's chances appeared to suffer a severe blow when Findlay lost control of the ball, and in his attempt to make amends, tripped Stewart as he raced clear on goal. But in the aftermath Killie took control of the game. Brophy was left unmarked in the box and steered home Mitchell Pinnock's cross. Brophy forced a save minutes later before Kabamba couldn't control a cross right in front of goal. Although Kilmarnock's dominance faded, it took until just before half-time for the visitors to register their first attempt on target. However, it was enough to steer County level as Grivosti was left alone in the box to nod in Stephen Kelly's cross. But County's one-man advantage did little for them after the break as Killie continued on the front foot. Kirk Broadfoot's marauding run and shot forced goalkeeper Ross Doohan to tip his effort around the post. And the hosts' pressure paid off when Pinnock went down under Coll Donaldson's challenge, with Kabamba making no mistake from the penalty spot. County inevitably finished the stronger. Jermaine Hylton found space at the back post but rattled his shot off the legs of goalkeeper Danny Rogers, who then tipped over Josh Reid's curling shot. But it was Killie who had the last say when Burke fired into the roof of the net to seal the points. Kilmarnock had to dig deep after going a man down but they never retreated into their shell, taking the game to the visitors and being rewarded with the three points. Ross County were poor in front of goal when chances did come their way, while their defending - especially for Brophy's opener - was poor. Kilmarnock manager Alex Dyer: "It was an excellent performance. The boys to a man really worked really well. They're a good bunch. They dig in, they work hard for each other." Ross County manager Stuart Kettlewell: "It's one of the worst results I've had in my involvement at this club. I'm not trying to be extreme or shock anyone by saying so. I think Kilmarnock showed us up today. Their hunger and fight and desire far outshone ours, and it's something I take personally."
