Lossiemouth 3 Ross County 1 Lossiemouth were the toast of the TSB Highland League on Saturday after their 3-1 win over leaders Ross County at Grant Park threw the title race back into the melting pot. After struggling on Friday to piece together a team, Lossie manager Fraser Kellas watched his makeshift side weather intense Ross pressure and grab victory after going a goal behind. Manager Kellas said: "They put us through the mill in the first half and our defence did an outstanding job when you consider that we had three regulars missing." Alan DUFF came off the bench at the interval to grab his 20th goal of the season to fire County ahead in 54 minutes, but eight minutes later Iain STEWART equalised. Johnston BELLSHAW's second own goal in a week put Lossie ahead with 15 minutes to go and then--two minutes from time. with County pressing for an equaliser--Willie FLETT bagged Lossie's third. Ross County manager Bobby Wilson said: "It was a disappointing result because we made so many chances in the first half. We actually played as well as we have all season, but Lossie deserved their win. "I've no complaints. Everybody's been waiting for us to slip up-- now we have and it has given the clubs chasing us a lifeline, but we'll be out to repair the damage against Inverness Thistle on Wednesday."
