Ross County 5 Fort William 3 A scintillating second half display from County took them to the joint leadership of the TSB Highland League and the lads from Lochaber, who had dictated in the first half, must still be wondering what hit them after the turn. County's two goal hero was Alan Duff, who notched the fourth and fifth to make the points secure. For long spells, however, County looked like suffering a shock defeat. In 23 minutes Fort went ahead with a picture goal. McBeth crossed prefectly from the right and Finlay SHEARER found himself on his own to head firmly past Ure. County, who had captain Cammy Robertson relegated to the bench were struggling in midfield, but in 35 minutes they drew level when Ferries chipped the ball over the outrushing keeper and WILSON blasted into an unguarded goal. Six minutes later, however, Fort were ahead again with a replay of their first, McBeth crossing from the right and SHEARER heading home. Three minutes after the turn the men from the shadow of Ben Nevis saw McKinnon have his penalty award saved by Ure, but MURDOCH stepped in to score from the rebound. Two minutes later County were back into things when Mclean beat out a Duff effort straight to WILLIAMSON, who shot home. County equalised from the penalty spot when CONNELLY converted after Conlon had brought down Somerville. A minute later DUFF put County ahead for the first time and nine minutes from the end the same player made the points safe after Wilson had done the spade work.
