| Match Report | Match Report Report by Mike Tremlett for the Press & Journal. Rothes 0 Ross County 2 Rothes manager Tom Cummings has tipped Ross County to be the first side since Caley in the early 1980s to retain the TSB Highland League title. The Speysiders boss was speaking after watching County beat his side 2-0 at Mackessack Park on Saturday to ease themselves into third place in the table. With playmaker Gordon Connelly missing through injury and former Don Andy MacLeod pulling the strings in his place, first-half goals from Sandy MCLEOD and Alan DUFF saw County through to a comfortable win. The performance prompted manager Cummings to venture: "Caley were the last club to put back-to-back championships together 10 years ago, but County look capable of matching that feat this season." |
