| Match Report | Match Report Report by Mike Tremlett for the Press & Journal. Ross County 4 Inverness Thistle 1 County came back from a goal down to oust Inverness Thistle 4-1 in Saturday's first round of the McEwan's Lager North of Scotland Cup to show more of the resilience which manager Bobby Wilson believes has characterised his side's performances this season. Trailing by Willie CALLACHAN's 18th goal of the season at the interval, County bounced back to 2-1 in eight second half minutes with a goal from Barry WILSON and a Gordon CONNELLY penalty. Brian GRANT's 32nd goal of the season and an injury time goal which took Grant's striking partner Alan DUFF to the 24-goal mark completed a win. |
