Berwick put Ross County under pressure in the opening minutes at Shieldfield with Martin Neil swinging in a high ball which keeper Ure saved under pressure from Bickmore.
Rangers conceded a soft corner but County failed to capitalise.
Ross pushed forward and Somerville forced Neilson to fingertip away a fierce shot on the run after linking up well with Grant.
Wilson caused problems with a burst down the right but Duff failed to take advantage.
Berwick took the lead in 20 minutes. A perfect cross from Ralph Callachan was met by Steve BICKMORE. His header hit the underside of the bar and bounced over the line.
County equalised in 29 minutes when Barry Wilson, who had been left in space on the right, swept the ball over for Brain GRANT to hit home.
Rangers replied immediately with Martin NEIL crashing home a glorious 30 yard drive after picking up a loose ball.
Two minutes later Tommy GRAHAM beat the keeper with a low shot on the turn after picking up a Thorpe cut back.
County were fortunate not to concede another when Todd hit the bar from a Callachan free-kick.
Sandy McLEOD reduced the arrears with a blistering drive in 44 minutes.
Berwick resumed brightly and Ure was in action in the first minute saving from Martin Neil after Callachan found him in space.
County swept forward and Locke was forced to race back to clear from Grant.
Barry WILSON put County back on level terms in 53 minutes when he moved in to collect after Neilson could only tip away a Grant shot.
Berwick pushed forward and Neil sent a flashing drive across the goal face but there were no takers.
Steve LOCKE restored Berwick's lead in 67 minutes, scoring after the keeper dropped the ball from a corner.
Steve BICKMORE completed the nap hand in 69 minutes.
Gordon CONNELLY scored a fourth for Ross in 76 minutes with the home defence split again.
Martin NEIL added Rangers sixth in 82 minutes and Kevin TOOD the seventh in 84 minutes.
