Montrose 1 Ross County 1
Ross County aim to stretch their unbeaten Third Division sequence to 10 games by accounting for Alloa Athletic--against whom the run began--at Dingwall on Saturday.
The Links Park stalemate ends their run of seven straight win which started after a draw with Alloa on November 4.
But it keeps the Dingwall men very much on the promotion track with two successive home games now offering the chance to keep up the pressure.
The match was a saga of three spot kicks. Billy Herd pulled down Innes MacDonald in the box in 24 minutes only for keeper Hutchison to save MacDonald's penalty.
Two minutes later Brian Grant was pulled down by Mark Haro and Grant slammed home the spot kick to edge County in front.
On the hour mark. Herd again fouled MacDonald and Montrose drew level when Colin McGlashan converted the award.
