| Comments | Match Report Report by Dave Edwards for the Press & Journal. Ross County 0 Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3 Ross County manager Neale Cooper will take action against Alex Bone after the striker was ordered off during Saturday's 3-0 derby defeat against Caley Thistle in Dingwall. Bone was involved in an unsavoury incident with Caley Thistle midfielder Charlie Christie seconds after being ordered off by referee Hugh Dallas in the 74th minute after the player received a second yellow card for a foul. Bone's Dismissal completed an unhappy double for Ross County as Darren Henderson had been sent off 11 minutes earlier after earning a second booking for being judged to have stepped on Caley Jags goalkeeper Jim Calder. Bone had to be restrained by Caley Jags players after heading towards ex-Celt Christie and it is believed that referee' Dallas summoned the former Stirling Albion striker to his room after the game to advise the player the incident will be mentioned in the official's match report. Cooper was unhappy about the manner of Bone's sending off and revealed that Bone will be disciplined by the Dingwall club. Cooper said: "Alhough there were two sending-offs, I don't think there was a bad tackle throughout the game. However, Alex Bone stupidly got himself sent off and then lunged at a player on his way off the park so we will certainly be dealing with that matter ourselves. "you just can't react like that when you are sent off and we'll be talking to Alex about that. It's really disappointing as he's been doing well for the club lately. "I was about to substitute Darren Henderson just before he got his second yellow card But that's just football for you." Cooper also revealed that his game plan was upset when Franck Escalon had to be substituted with a recurrence of a calf injury after only 12 minutes and the County boss hinted that there may now be a doubt over the Frenchman's future with the Dingwall club. Cooper said: "We took a chance on Franck as he said he was fit. Either you're fit or you're not fit. We didn't have much additional cover at the back as both Kenny Gilbert and Ian Maxwell were injured." Caley Thistle manager Steve Paterson was understandably delighted with his team's victory, which opened a three-point mid-table gap between the sides. He said: "I thought that even before the sending-offs we were controlling the game and were going to run out winners. Everything went to plan as we got the ball down and played it on the deck. "I think the midfield was excellent and Mike Teasdale had a tremendous game going forward but it was a first-class all-round display. In the first half both teams probably rode their luck but we had the bulk of the possession throughout and that pleased me. "Our two strikers played well and, hopefully, we can pick up more points at Morton in our next game." |
