| Comments | Match Report Report by Bill McAllister for the Press & Journal. Ross County 0 Inverness Caledonian Thistle 2 Norman McMillan last night ensured that Calry Jags will become the first Scottish League team to play in the Inverness Cup final. the Youngster hit two fine goals as the Inverness men powered through to the last stage of the HOE-sponsored tournament. McMillan, fast and tricky throughout, put the visitors ahead in 14 minutes with a fine drive from the edge of the box. Mackenzie shaved the post with a fine 20-yarder early in the second half and in 53 minutes it was 2-0 when a blunder by keeper MacMillan in clearing his lines saw the ball run loose and McMillan dribble round the keeper to slot it neatly home from an acute angle. Sandy MacLeod made a brave goalline clearance from Mackenzie as the visitors always looked dangerous in quick breaks |
