| Comments | Match Report Report from the Press & Journal. Alloa Athletic 1 Ross County 1 Ross County central defender Willie Furphy is set for a two-game SFA suspension after collecting a booking at Recreation Park which takes him over the disciplinary points tally. The former Elgin player, who has looked so impressive since joining County in September, has already served a ban after being ordered off against Queen's Park. Manager Bobby Wilson said: "It looks as though Willie will miss the home games with Queen's Park and Forfar." County's performance at Alloa, however, gives them considerable encouragement for the Scottish Cup return trip there on January 7. Indeed, the Dingwall club is frustrated at not snatching full points. County struck first through a free kick conceded from a pass back to the keeper. Young David Mackay let fly and got a helpful deflection. Alloa, however, quickly levelled when Steve Hutcheson--deputising for Don Macmillan--dropped a cross and Doug Lawrie volleyed in. |
