Ross County centre half Sandy MacLeod will swap one big match for another this weekend. He misses the big Highland Third Division derby in Inverness because he is getting married.
The powerful pivot is also ruled out for the following two league games as he is honeymooning in Hawaii.
That is a big blow for County as they gain momentum after two successive home wins in which they have scored seven goals without reply.
MacLeod, who has been in outstanding from this season, said: "I am bitterly disappointed that of all games to miss it should be the one against Caley Thistle, for i had set my heart on avenging our defeat against them at Dingwall.
MacLeod will, however, play against Caley Thistle in Wednesday's HOE Inverness Cup semi-final at Victoria Park, which has become the focus of considerable controversy.
A joint plea by both clubs to have the tie postponed in view of their important league clash has been rejected and now both managers are set to field "shadow" sides.
Ross boss Bobby Wilson said: "Elgin City were allowed to put their tie back a week but it seems we've not enjoyed similar treatment. We will have to think very carefully about playing in this competition in future."
County have hauled themselves back up to with six points of the top of Division 3 following their 4-0 demolition job on Cowdenbeath.
Cowdenbeath self-destructed under pressure with an amazing show of indiscipline. They conceded two quick penalties in the second half, both expertly converted by Andy MacLeod, and had Craig Winters sent off for persistent fouling then goalkeeper Neil Russell following him for abuse to a linesman.
Brian Grant ended his goal drought with two superb strikes.
