Stenhousemuir 0 Ross County 2
Ross County stepped up their Second Division Promotion campaign with a victory at Stenhousemuir last night which lifts the Highlanders to second place in the table.
County boss Neale Cooper handed a debut to new signing Craig Taggart from Stirling Albion. The breakthrough was always going to prove decisive in a game controlled by the visitors and County got it in 53 minutes.
George Shaw swung in a cross from the right which was nodded on by Derek Holmes for Paul Kinnaird to bullet a header into the net.
After a number of missed chances for both sides, the Dingwall outfit put the game beyond doubt two minutes from time.
Substitute John McGlashan, returning after injury netting from the edge of the box.
