| Comments | Match Report Report from the Press & Journal. Stranraer 0 Ross County 2 A relieved Neale Cooper was back to his bouncy best after watching his side, brilliantly marshalled by former Scotland defender Brian Irvine, take full points from a potentially perilous venue. Despite a fairly comfortable 2-0 victory at Stair Park, it is believed the Ross County manager will this week attempt to bring Livingston and former Brechin City striker Craig Feroz on loan to Victoria Park until the end of the season to boost his side's promotion push. Cooper was full of praise for Irvine. He said: "Big Brian was immense at the heart of our defence, giving us those important leadership qualities. "Having both Nicky Walker and Brian at the back gives us a solidity and we must now look to win more games to try to catch Clyde at the top of the table. "Everything has tightened up at the top and we must now show the same commitment, spirit and drive as we showed here to help our push for promotion. Frenchman Franck Escalon broke the deadlock in the 64th minute and with five minutes left Steve Ferguson sealed the points. |
