Ross County manager Neale Cooper admitted his Division Two newcomers feared no-one after picking up four points in their first two games.
Impressively, those points have been won against the teams who were relegated from First Division--a statistic which gives the Dingwall boss hope.
He said: "In the past two weeks we have played Hamilton and Stranraer and we have given a good account of ourselves."
"However, we have to be more clinical. In the first half, Paul Kinnaird played a lot of good balls into the box but no players got on the end of them."
Stranraer manager Billy McLaren, in charge for his first home league match since taking over at Stair Park, was not happy.
He said; "That was not good as a spectacle or a performance. We were poor."
Each side produced just one clear-cut scoring chance apiece.
George Shaw was denied an opener on the hour when Stranraer keeper Keith Knox blocked his shot the line and, for the home side, sub Paul Walker fired wide from close range with three minutes left.
