Greenock Morton 0 Ross County 1
Ross County manager Neale Cooper was a happy man after his team's 1-0 First Division victory against Morton at Cappielow on Saturday.
It was County's first league win of the season and Cooper described it as "a massive result".
Cooper said: "This win was just fantastic, particularly with the derby against Caley Thistle our next match. We have been playing well, although not getting the results we want and there was a bit of a dip in confidence, even though there should not have been. This was a massive result and will help us.
"It was a nervous ending. We were under pressure and the game seemed to be going on and on. I looked at my watch and it was 4.50 and I thought the referee was never going to blow."
Striker Alex Bone scored the vital strike. He said: "A striker has always to look for a defender losing concentration and that's what I did. I was delighted to get that goal.
"I felt we deserved to win. Our defence really tightened up in this game and did not allow Morton many chances."
That goal came after only 14 minutes when Morton defender Derek Anderson was short with a pass back to his keeper and Bone nipped in to clip the ball behind keeper Matt Boswell.
